Join Jam Hops Dance Company's Competitive Dance Program!
Here at JHDCo, we are incredibly passionate about dance. Our competitive dance companies participate in a number of opportunities throughout the year while establishing a strong foundation of precise technicality.
Dancers have the opportunity to join one or more the following companies:
After placement, competitive students receive a company shirt as a welcome gift. Dancers will take classes with their company during the competitive season taking place from August-June. During this time, dancers rehearse choreography while receiving pre-professional training specific to each dance style. All competition dancers take classes on two days during the school/work week. Dancers in multiple companies may dance anywhere from two to six days a week. Each company competes at a total of five competitions during the spring, including Nationals in the summer!
If you are interested in our competitive companies please contact us at customerservice@jamhops.com or call us at 763-413-0647 for more information.
In 2024, we are introducing a new line to Jam Hops Dance Company - the Premiere Team!
The Premiere Company is a competition line for high school dance team members. This line is a wonderful option for dancers on high school dance lines who are unable to do studio dance due to scheduling conflicts.

We Care About Our Dancers' Growth
At Jam Hops Dance Company, we truly care about our dancers and their development. Our competitive dancers set goals for themselves, and our dance staff meets with them individually, multiple times throughout the year, to check in and see how we can help them achieve, learn, and grow as dancers and human beings.
Evaluations
JHDCo competition dancers receive an abbreviated evaluation in January, and a comprehensive evaluation in July after intensives. Instructors score and give notes on the dancers' progress.

Service Project
Every year, JHDCo participates in a service project, giving our athletes the opportunity to help others in a meaningful way, and give back to the community. The past few years, we have made tie blankets for the homeless.
Parties
We like to have fun out of our dance shoes, too. JHDCo celebrates with parties in October and December!
Parades
Dancers show their JHDCo spirit by participating in parades. We are looking forward to the Anoka Halloween Parade on October 28, 2023!
