Gymnastics Program Assistant (Blaine/Ham Lake)

The Gymnastics Program Assistant will support the Recreational Gymnastics Coordinator and Director to ensure smooth running and growing preschool and school age recreational gymnastics programs. This position will require 30 hours per week including coaching, floating and prep hours.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach athletes how to safely execute gymnastics skills and build the athlete’s self-esteem to help children become LIFE CHAMPIONS!
  • Assist with class level evaluations
  • Train new and existing coaches
  • Create and communicate the class warm up
  • Assist with decorating the parent viewing area and preschool room
  • Help plan and attend the coach celebrations and the annual Spring Show
  • Help create videos for skills in jackrabbit (our class system)
  • Assist with organizing and communicating picture day
  • And more!!

Additional Requirements:

  • A love of kids and a love of gymnastics!
  • Keep current with required trainings and certifications
  • Work varying day, evening and weekend hours
  • Attend monthly staff celebrations and quarterly all staff meetings/trainings
  • Ability to handle the physical activity involved in spotting and moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching, etc.

Ninja Coaches

Are you passionate about fitness, bouldering/rock climbing, parkour/free running skills, martial arts and/or gymnastics? Do you have a talent for teaching and helping people to become life champions? Have you mastered the talent of channeling chaos into creativity? If so, then coaching in our JH XSports Freestyle Fusion program is the place to be! 

Our Ninja coaches are trained to help develop people's innate ability to flip, run, climb and jump, so they may do so in a safe and proper manner, no matter their surroundings or circumstances. We are looking for people with experience in parkour, bouldering/rock climbing, and obstacle/rig training. Experience in teaching in any of these areas is preferred but not necessary.

Requirements

  • A love of teaching and a love of movement!
  • Work evenings and some weekends from 5-10 hours/week
  • Work at an extra activity at least once per quarter
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and quarterly all staff trainings
  • Must be 15 years of age or older

Recreational Gymnastics Coaches (Anoka/Ramsey and Blaine/Ham Lake)

The Recreational Gymnastics Coach will teach their athletes how to safely execute gymnastics skills and build the athlete’s self-esteem, thereby producing LIFE CHAMPIONS. Whether you were a gymnast, are the parent of a gymnast, or have no experience in the sport, we can train you to be a gymnastics coach!

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise classes with boys and/or girls of different age groups and talents:

  • Set up stations and teach appropriate skills, following the Jam Hops gymnastics curriculum
  • Lead the specified warm up for each class
  • Give valid corrections and comments to athletes
  • Display a positive attitude and body language while coaching
  • Adhere to safe practices on all equipment
  • Ability to handle the physical activity involved in spotting and moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching, etc.

Additional Requirements:

  • A love of kids and a love of gymnastics!
  • Keep current with required trainings and certifications
  • Work evenings, with one regular shift on a Friday/Saturday
  • Work at an extra activity at least once per quarter
  • Attend monthly staff celebrations and quarterly All Staff trainings
  • At this time, candidates must be 16 years of age or older

DP Women's Competitive Gymnastics Coach (Blaine/Ham Lake)

The DP Women's Competitive Gymnastics coach will work with athletes to safely execute gymnastics skills and build their self-esteem. This person will be reliable, compassionate, energetic and be flexible and adaptable to change.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up rotations and teach level appropriate skills, following the Jam Hops gymnastics curriculum
  • Give valid corrections and comments to athletes
  • Display a positive attitude and body language while coaching
  • Adhere to safe practices on all equipment

Additional requirements:

  • A love of kids and a love of gymnastics!
  • Experience working with USAG levels 6-10 is preferred , but not required. 
  • Ability to handle the physical activity involved in spotting and moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching, etc.
  • Keep current with required trainings and certifications
  • Work 12-16 hours per week, evenings and weekends
  • Attend monthly staff celebrations and quarterly All Staff trainings

Gymnastics Coordinator (Anoka/Ramsey)

The Gymnastics Coordinator will provide support to the Gymnastics Director to ensure the preschool and school age gymnastics programs are running smoothly and growing.  This will require approximately 22-30 hours per week of a variety of hours coaching, floating and prep work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely lead and supervise classes with boys and/or girls of different age groups and talents
  • Set up stations and teach appropriate skills to athletes, following the Jam Hops gymnastics curriculum
  • Class level evaluations
  • Address parent concerns
  • Train new and advancing coaches
  • Plan and attend monthly coach celebrations
  • Coordinate and work at the annual Spring Show
  • Plan for and organize parades and spirit weeks
  • Create videos for skills
  • And more!

  • Ability to handle the physical activity involved in spotting and moving equipment: pulling, lifting, crouching, etc.
  • Keep current with required trainings and certifications
  • Work a flexible schedule of days, evenings and weekends

Xcel GYMNASTICS coach (Blaine/Ham Lake)

We are seeking a part-time (8-14 hours per week) reliable, compassionate, energetic person to coach in our competitive Xcel gymnastics program at our Blaine/Ham Lake location. Compensation will be based on experience level.

  • Set up rotations and teach level appropriate skills, following the Jam Hops gymnastics curriculum
  • Give valid corrections and comments to athletes
  • Display a positive attitude and body language while coaching
  • Adhere to safe practices on all equipment
