Camptastic Summer Camp, Ages 3 yrs - 10 gr.

Payment is required when you register.  If you decide to cancel a registration it must be done at least one week prior to that date for an account credit to be given.  A registration form and waiver is required for all participants.

Camptastic dates and information for summer 2018 are listed below.

Playing in the gym is always fun for the campers!

Camptastic is a great place for children to stay active and enjoy time with friends over the summer!


Children participate in a wide variety of activities at camp:

  • Open Gym
  • Interactive games
  • Board Games/Bingo
  • Arts, crafts and coloring
  • Movies
  • Themed activities
  • Outdoor activities
  • Gymnastics rotations (1 1/2 hrs. per day)
  • Field trips for the Day Camp ages 5+ (additional fee)

During open gym and gymnastics time the kids love learning things on all our equipment; climbing the rope, jumping in our 3 foam pits, jumping on our trampolines and tumble trak, building forts and so much more!  See many photos of all the fun below!!

Summer camp is perfect for all children; ages 3 & up, boys & girls, gymnasts & non-gymnasts. There's fun for everyone!

  • Day Camp - for children who have completed kindergarten (2017-2018) and older.
  • Preschool 1/2 Day Camp - for ages 3-5 (and potty trained).
  • See below for details about both camps.

**We will send a letter by email 1-2 weeks before the dates your child is registered for to let you know if they should bring anything extra.

Camptastic Preschool Camp (ages 3-Pre K; potty trained)

NEW THIS YEAR - Preschool camp will be offered every week (except the week of July 4th and the last week) this summer, T-Th.

  • Preschool Camp is 9:00am-12:00pm.
  • Cost is $17 (plus tax) per day for members and $20 (plus tax) per day for non-members.
  • Snack provided each day.

Camptastic Day Camp (kindergarten - 10 gr.; 2017-2018)

We will have Camptastic Day Camps every weekday except July 4th for the entire summer!

  • Camp is 8:30am-4:30pm; before/after care available from 7:30am-8:30am and 4:30pm-5:30pm.
  • Cost: $30 (plus tax) per day for members, $35 (plus tax) for non-members.  For every 5 days you register the 5th day is free (does not have to be all in one week!).  Before/after care is an additional $5/hour.
  • Bring a water bottle and lunch with drink each day and we will provide a snack.
  • Bring a book to read every day.  There will be a reading time each day.
  • Field trip will be an additional fee and paid separately from the daily fee.
    Every day your child has the option to have:
  • 1 Uncrustable sandwich or 1 cheese stick and salami.
  • Choice of Go-Gurt, an applesauce pouch or mandarin oranges
  • Choice of 1 serving of goldfish crackers, veggie straws or pretzels
  • Choice of 2 chocolate chip or oreo cookies
  • Choice of 1 juice box or water
  • On Wednesdays they have the option to order 2 slices of Chanticlear cheese pizza (if enough kids are getting pizza we can offer sausage or pepperoni) and then the same other options as listed above. You will make their lunch selection when you drop your child off for the day.

Daily camp activities will be based on a theme for the week and for each day of the week. 

Monday: Science Experiments Day
Tuesday: Fun in the Sun Day (bring swim wear, towel, sunscreen, water toys)
Wednesday: Movie Day (bring pillows and blankets)
Thursday: Field Trip Day (see below for details)
Friday: Variety Day

Field trips (the campers will ride The Traveler bus):

Note; the bus fare to ride The Traveler went from $2.25 round trip to $7 round trip per child. Because of this, some of our field trip fees are a little more than they have been in the past.

June 14th; Bowlero in Blaine

  • Cost is $28 per camper.
  • Campers MUST have socks with for bowling.
  • Come with us to bowl, play laser tag and video games at one of the funnest places around town!
  • The Traveler bus will leave Jam Hops promptly at 12:00pm and be back to Jam Hops around 2:45pm.
  • The campers will eat their own lunches (or lunches ordered through us) at Jam Hops before going on the field trip.

June 21st; Bunker Park Stables; Hay Ride

  • Cost is $16 per camper.
  • The Traveler will leave Jam Hops at 10:45am and return around 1:45pm; hay ride 11:30-12:30 then have a picnic eating their own lunches.
  • Each child needs to fill out a waiver form for Bunker Park (we will provide you with those to complete).
  • Children need to have a lunch they can bring  to eat there.
  • Campers should bring or have on sun screen and dress according to the weather.
  • Campers should wear tennis shoes.

June 28th; Roosevelt Swimming Pool; life guards are on duty

  • Cost is $11 per camper.
  • The Traveler will leave Jam Hops at 12:30pm and return around 3:15pm.
  • Ages 6 and under need to be in arms reach of one of our coaches at all times and are permitted to bring life jackets.
  • Campers should bring a swim suit and towel.
  • All children may bring goggles that don't cover the nose.

July 5th - no field trip this week; we will watch a movie on July 5th instead

July 12th; Ham Lake Lanes

  • Cost is $13 per camper.
  • Bowling, arcade (optional) and sand volleyball.
  • Campers MUST have socks with today for bowling.
  • The Traveler will leave Jam Hops at 12:30pm and return around 3:15pm.
  • The campers will eat their own lunches at Jam Hops before going on this field trip.
  • The campers may bring extra money for the arcade and to buy a slushy (this has been a favorite in the past).

July 19th; Wargo Nature Center

  • Cost is $15 per camper.
  • The campers ride on The Traveler bus and will be there from 1-2:30pm.
  • The nature center will put on a program for us about exploring insects in the forest.
  • Please have your child bring sunscreen for this day and dress for outdoor weather.

July 26th - YMCA - We will NOT be swimming.

  • Cost is $14 per camper.
  • The Traveler will leave Jam Hops at 10am and return around 1pm.
  • Campers must wear tennis shoes today.
  • We have 2 gym courts rented and will be playing basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, dodge ball and all sorts of fun gym activities.

August 2nd; Grand Slam in Coon Rapids (laser tag, mini golf, etc)

  • Cost is $21 per camper.
  • The Traveler will leave Jam Hops at 10:00am and return around 1:15pm.
  • Campers should wear tennis shoes today.
  • Mini golf, bumper cars, batting cages and laser tag.
  • Lunch will be provided of a hot dog, pop and Jam Hops will bring something else to eat with that.

August 9th - Reptile & Amphibian show at Jam Hops

  • Cost is $12 per camper.
  • The show will be at 10:00am.
  • Click here to see "The Rad Zoo" website that will be bringing reptiles and amphibians to Jam Hops at 10:00am!


August 16th; Ham Lake Fire Station and Ham Lake Park

  • Cost is $7.50.
  • Jam Hops will be donating funds to the Ham Lake Fire Station and the campers will present the check to them today; then they will get a tour of the fire station and get to try out their water hoses.
  • We encourage families to send their child with a monetary donation to make to the fire department.
  • After the fire station we will walk to Ham Lake Park.
  • The Traveler will leave Jam Hops at 9:45am and return around 1:00pm.
  • The campers will bring their lunches with on this field trip and eat them at the park.
  • Campers should bring sunscreen for their time at the park.

August 23rd; The Bug Lady will visit us at Jam Hops in the morning and a Balloon Twister will make each camper a balloon in the afternoon.

  • Cost is $14.
  • The campers will get to see praying mantis, Pacman frogs, African bull frog, bearded dragons, gecko, turantulas, hissing cockroaches and a stick bug.
  • Each camper will receive a twisted balloon.

August 30th; Aquatore Park in Blaine near Fogerty arena

  • Cost is $7.50 per child.
  • The campers will leave on the Traveler at 11:30am and return around 2:15pm.
  • Make sure the campers have a lunch with them to eat at the park and a water bottle to bring with.
  • Send sunscreen along for them to apply before going to the park. This park is very shaded.

Weekly Camp Letters

Please read the camp letters below for the dates your child will be attending camp.  There are times you will need to bring something or know that there is a field trip scheduled.
